A Judo uniform, also known as a judogi, is specially designed to withstand the rigorous demands of grappling, throwing, and groundwork techniques. It is heavier and more durable than other martial arts uniforms, ensuring it can endure the pulling and tugging involved in Judo practice and competitions.

The uniform consists of three parts:

  1. Jacket (Uwagi): Thick and reinforced to resist wear and tear during grips and throws.
  2. Pants (Zubon): Lightweight yet strong, with reinforced knees for added durability.
  3. Belt (Obi): Indicates rank and helps secure the jacket.
